Problem with attachments with transactions

I have Adobe Acrobat X (default PDF handler) and I "had" Foxit reader installed on my win7 computer. I have Quicken Deluxe 2013 release 12 installed. I have always attached files (primarily PDF files) to my transactions and all has worked well. Today when tring to attach a PDF file... for some reason Foxit popped up with a crash. I tied numerous times with the same results so I uninstalled Foxit. The PDF files now attach fine but when viewing the attachment, it opens up a full page in Acrobat X instead of showing in Quicken. The Quicken view widow is still there but it is blank. Closing Acrobat does not cause the file to show in the Quicken view window and restarting my computer did not solve the problem.

I'm sure this must be a setting somewhere but I can't find it either in Quicken or Acrobat. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Geo.S. I just re-checked the box but no joy. I'm using Acrobat X Standard. Fitz

I had Acrobat (9 Standard) open when I tried it, and at first it didn't work. Once I closed it, the PDF opened as it used to. (Thanks for posting the question Fitz, and thanks so much for the answer, Geo.S!!!) vcardx

I reinstalled Foxit and set it as the default PDF handler. Now when I click on the paperclip icon to view a PDF attachment it opens as it should in Quicken but when I click "Close", Foxit crashes and has to be force closed. Quicken is also not responsive until Foxit is force closed.
