unreadable invoices

Is anybody else having problems with invoices mailed when using QB billing solutions? For the last 2 months we've had problems and QB acknowledges the issue but doesn't seem to be able to fix it. QB says it's only QB 2011 users who are affected.

just curious how many other users have had the issue.

I have not heard of that problem. A friend of mine is having problems with the service always asking for a password.

Any reason why you have not tried setting up Outlook to send your invoices bypassing the Intuit billing solutions?

We use QB to snail mail some of our invoices, when QB prints them there is an issue with their printers, it puts circles, squares and triangles rather than letters, some sort of font issue. the few we do email are fine. Brian

What operating system are you using? There have been issues with win7

64bit operating systems with printing to pdf files but the last service release was supposed to fix this problem. Oh wait, that was with 2010 not 2011 so maybe this is still an issue with 2011. Make sure you have all of the latest QB updates.

If you are getting garbled text when you print an invoice to paper then that's a driver issue on your computer. Are you printing to a computer attached to your computer or one that is networked?

If this is also happening to your pdf files then delete the Quickbooks PDF Converter, reboot your PC and then open QB. The first time you save a file to pdf QB will reinstall the driver. QB has had a long term problem with the pdf converter.

I would also experiment with: a) sav> We use QB to snail mail some of our invoices, when QB prints them there is

This is a known (to QB) issue, users of QB 2011 and their Billing Solutions invoicing service, this only happens when the invoices are mailed. the user has no control of how the invoices are generated or transferred to QB for processing. you can read the thread on Intuits own forum,

it's very aggravating because it seems as though QB has thrown in the towel on this, they have some very talented programmers this should be a priority, this is going on for 2 months now with to fix insight.

Sorry that I could not help more. This is the first that I have heard of this particular error and I am on numerous QuickBooks mailing lists.

By that thread it only took Intuit 19 days to fix the problem, now that's customer service!

And I disagree with the "talented programmers" part. But that was on this group 3 or 4 years ago.

Thank You, Randy

I first report the issue to QB on 10/28/10 and I wasn't the first one to report the problem, they called me on 12/13/10 to report the problem was resolved, a bit more than 19 days.
