Access is Denied

I was wondering if anybody has encountered an Access is Denied message getting into Store Operations Manager while in POS is open. It's the strangest thing. We have 12 stores on this system and we have one store having this problem. She can still get into Operations Manager by pressing OK and bypassing the message, but then has difficulty with closing and reopening the POS (which, thanks to another posting I just saw here may fix that issue for her). I was just wondering if anyone had suggestions on how to get this message to go away? We've uninstalled and reinstalled the software thinking it could be an administrative rights issue, but that doesn't seem to be the case. We also looked at her individual cashier security setting but that isn't it, either. Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance! Wendy

IN SO Administrator, go to File/Configuration and look at the Paths Tab. Make sure the user who's having problems has access rights to those paths and that the paths are all valid. Also check the Templates Tab, and make sure that again the user has access to the specified files and that all of the files exist. This usually happens when you are using a network share for the paths. You should also make sure that the option to "Share OPOS devices with other applications" is selected in SO Manager, File/Configuration, Options.

Thanks, Glenn...

I verified all of this again today but no go. You can open Store Operations Manager by itself fine. The message only appears when the POS is open and then you go to open Manager. There's only one POS in her store and no backoffice workstation so everything is working strictly off of her hard drive. She has full control permissions to Program Files and Windows\system32 folders. Something is conflicting somewhere and I can't put my finger on it. Like I said before, she can bypass the message by pressing ok and then logging in, but it's just a nuisance. I truly believe this goes hand in hand with her POS not reopening sometimes. I have figured out if she makes a change in Manager that says to restart POS before it takes affect, she needs to exit Manager altogether, then exit the POS and it'll open. If Manager is still open, the POS won't open and she has to reboot.

Thanks for the help, I'll keep digging.
