Is Credit card information stored in any tables within the RMS sof

I've only seen it in the TenderEntry table and the QuoteTenderEntry table. It looks to me that it only holds the last 4 digits of the card (ie. XXXXXXXXXXXX9874).

If you set SO Manager | File | Configuration | Options | General Options | if you check Mask Credit Card numbers, the card number is stored in the databases like Michael mentioned, the last 4 digits. You will _not_ be able to un-encrypt the number. M$ has been asked before, but they can't/won't do it either, so if you need the whole number for _any_ reason, see the option below or have the card in front of you.

If you uncheck that option but check a similar option in the receipt format, then the whole card number will be stored in the databases, but only the last 4 digits will be printed on the receipt. The whole card number will be viewable in the tenders window of the receipt and on the reports. You can blank out the field or disable the reports through security settings though.

Round about way to find the credit card number is bringing up the actual transaction for a void or return and then on the tender screen deleting the dollar figure and hitting the plus key. It brings up the cc authorization screen and then number is there.

If you mask the credit card numbers, I believe that tender screen shows the card number as "XXX...1234", not the whole number...

Harry, The only other way I know to find out the credit card information is to look up each individual transaction in the journal and hit the tender key. It pops up another screen with the credit card number not masked and the authorization code associated with it. It also tells what type of card and the amount of the sale.

I had to print one of these once to verify a charge. It worked like a charm because of the information. The only down fall is that the system does not catch the cardholders name.

Not using Mercury. We use IC Verify outside of RMS. It brings up the journeyed copy of the original tender yes. Once you hit the tender button in the viewer screen it populates the other information (atleast mine does). This particular screen is within RMS. I know that IC Verify has a similar function but have never gotten the information that way.
