Login access is denied

This is rather weird and mostly annoying. I am setting up a new RMS system for two stores. I am working right now on a single register store PC and the only user I have set up has all cashier rights enabled. When I log in to POS , I get a pop-up box that says "Access is denied", yet when I click on OK, the user gets into the program. The same user gets into the Manager program just fine.

Any thoughts?

After some trial and error, I found that the Access is denied message only comes up when I have Cash drawer 1 enabled in Manager. Very strange.

Hi Hafr

If you go into SOManager, and Cashier properties, does this cashier have a specific cash drawer allocated to it? Is it the same cash drawer as the one you have setup? Double-check that you have all options ticked in the security level access section also.

After a lot of research, I finally found that I did not need to set up the cash drawer in OPOS, but needed merely to create a text file with the following code:

\ \H1B\H70\H30\H30\HF0 \

and then configure the receipt printer to use that file as a separator page. I then deleted the OPOS cash drawer object, and this issue was resolved.

Yes, this is the first time that I have set up RMS entirely on my own.

I had forgotten that cashiers have to be assigned to cash drawers but I had come across that before I started this thread.
