Avoid dire warnings after Smart Reconcile off?

In Q2003, the Smart Reconcile feature is, unfortunately, not so smart for me. Here's why: When my paycheck entry automatically records my employer sending $250 to SunTrust Bank savings for me, and I download that transaction from SunTrust, then on the next reconcile I'll get the message that says "The total of the previously cleared items in your register no longer matches," etc., with the options of Resolve, Help and Ignore.

If I let Quicken resolve it, Quicken tries to create an adjusting entry of $250, which now makes me $250 out of sync with the bank. That is, I matched perfectly with the bank before Quicken tried to fix things -- now it creates a $250 error, that makes my balance $250 below what the bank says. Naturally, I have turned off Smart Reconcile and everything works great.

But is there any way to disable those warnings that I have to keep "Ignoring?" Or, alternatively, is there any way to get Quicken and SunTrust to behave?

(This had happened with my SunTrust checking for a long time. Recently I opened a new SunTrust savings account and made sure not to do anything other than accept the downloaded transactions -- no funny business with deleting cleared transactions or anything like that. Sure enough, Quicken started reporting this $250 error -- when my file and the bank were in perfect agreement.)
