cannot validate!

Oh-Oh. Tried to validate and was told Quicken cannot validate this file.

What now?

Solved it. Here's how for someone else who might be in the same pickle:

  1. Used Quicken's file operations to "copy" the file elsewhere.
  2. Validated the copied file and now validate worked fine.

Note: this does not work when I copied the file using Window's file copy (still would not validate). But when you instruct Quicken to "copy" the file elsewhere, it actually re-writes the transactions, etc all over and I guess that is why validate now worked.

Question: Validate completed successfully but I got no report to tell me if it found any errors. Quicken created a folder called "validate" which is empty. Does this mean it found no errors?

Thanks.

No errors is why there is no report. Glad it worked out for you.
