I am just wondering, I stated using CapitalOne card and so far did not find a web direct option to download transactions in to Quicken.
Can anyone help me understated - if it's not possible?
Thx YuriW

If you have the same card as I do - CapOne does not offer direct connect. They do offer web connect but only at the end of the billing cycle. You can download the monthly transactions at that time for import into QW. You can view transactions daily. A bit primitive by some standards.
Wow! That sound like a stone age.
Anyway, how do you make sure that your transactions get categorized during monthly downloads. I did it today for the first time and all transactions came back with no categories.
Thx!
i just got rid of my cap one card for that reason - switched to chase with cash rebate. very nice daily downloads available.

But CapOne gives double miles!!! Does Chase give this too?
no - no double miles, but 5% cash back on groceries, gas , and drugs, and 1% on everything else. i like cash.

The categories for downloaded transactions have to be entered manually.
If you use memorized transactions, the next month download will "match" the vendors and companies you've paid to before and automatically re-use same categories for them.
and how do you setup "use memorized transactions"?
Thx
in Quicken 2005 Deluxe
on the top menu: Edit -> Preferences -> Quicken Program
in the new pop-up window: Register/Quickfill - check "Automatically memorize new payees" and "Recall memorized payees"
