Chase upgrade

As of 11:00 am EST on Nov. 14th, Chase OSU is still not working for me. Anyone managed to successfully download via OSU since the upgrade?

Not for me. I just posted a windy message on this very topic. It should be appearing shortly. :-)

I tried and failed today. Then logged on and pushed the activate quicken button, after which it worked.

Didn't work on this end.

Mine says it's already activated so it won't let me do it again, so that didn't work for me.

I have had quicken downloads working for ages until this past August or so. Then came problems like monthly charges that I successfully disputed for 2 months, then I was forced to quit using OneStepUpdate as being "not authorized" to use it. This is too much trouble with OSU to keep trying it. Discussions with the bank personnel haven't yet succeeded in restoring the free Dircet Connect downloads I used to have. I can do downloads via Web Connect from the individual accounts for free of checking, savings, and Amazon Visa. Freedom Visa pops up a new browser window and forces me to download an OFX file if there are new transactions.

This whole nonsense has forced me to abandon most use of Chase- administered credit cards. I still have some automatic transactions going, and may cut them later, but for now that's too much trouble.

I found out that Discover's cash back points can be used as payment at Amazon, so I don't need the Amazon Visa card anymore.

I use my automobile-specific Discover card for all gasoline purchases, and for someone who fills-up as often as I do, it's really paid off.

The ability to use reward dollars on Amazon, which I just started doing last month, is icing on the cake!

When you say "you logged on and pushed the activate quicken button...", where did you do that, so I can try it and see if my connect will work?

Thanks

Ok, I found the spot on the website and clicked "Activate Quicken button" and it said it was successful. Went to Quicken (2011) and tried a download and received the same error. Did you also have to change something in Quicken? What is your online setup in Quicken for the account? Mine - for the account - is set at (Account Services/Online Services/This account is connected via Direct Connect). Is that what you have also?

Thanks charliec

I changed nothing in Quicken - just tried again. Pushing activate may have had nothing to do with it. It's still working today.

Scheduled Updates failed again this morning, but with a 293-A error instead of a 297-A.

Had to individually update my login IDs.
