Closed positions

In my portfolio view, I continue to show two securites with zero shares (ie closed position). Other securities with no shares (ie owned previously, but sold) do not show . I have turned off "show closed positions" Usually when all shares are sold, it is removed from portfolio view. I assume there must be a data glitch somewhere. Any suggestions on where to start looking.

You may never be able to see that glitch, if it exists. It could be a non-zero digit in the seventh position to the right of the decimal in one or more of your transactions ... which can never be seen because Quicken can only display up to six postions to the right of the decimal.

You can try editing the Sell transactions to sell "all shares". You can try deleting and re-entering all purchase type transactions, making sure that you let Quicken compute the price/share. But you still may not find the problem.

As a last resort, you can either hide the securities, or unselect them from the Portfolio view.
