Add "Account" and "Category" columns to the "Bill and Income Reminders" page

When you don't contemplate having to pay for your wishes, it's easy to wish for the moon.

The request to display the account for Bill and Income Reminders actually makes some sense, but the desire to display categories does not.

As to displaying accounts for lists of Reminders, that capability already exists (though not in Tools > Manage Bill & Income Reminders). See the Home tab "Bill and Income Reminders" widget. That widget offers the option to display the account for each Reminder (see the gear-wheel icon in the upper right of the widget). Adding the ability to sort the reminders on the Reminder account in that Home tab widget is the only sensible improvement I can see in the original poster's request. Note that TO accounts specified in Transfer reminders, and account categories specified in split transactions are not visible in the Home tab widget. I believe modifying the Home tab Bill and Income Reminders widget to allow sorting on the reminder account would be a useful improvement to Quicken.

As far as displaying categories in lists of Reminders, that capability does not seem feasible to me. Reminders can - and often do - consist of split transactions. Trying to list "reminders" by "category" (much less making reminders sortable by category) would be a significant modification, producing a display of questionable value. Note that you can not even sort Quicken account registers by the categories within split transactions.

I do not recall ever needing to sort by the categories in my Reminders; but if such a need was deemed important, I suggest it be implemented in a Quicken report. Quicken reports already have the ability to be sorted by Category, even when the category is contained within a split transaction. And a properly designed report of (or, optionally, including) Reminders could be useful in its own right.

[Some years ago, Quicken tried to offer the ability to see several more columns in the Bill and Income Reminders display (I believe "account" was one of those new columns). That attempted new feature resulted in very bad results and very unhappy users ... the elements of the new feature were fairly quickly removed. Users should not assume such "improvements" are trivial.] [Last Community post: 04-25-21 @ 5:24 pm]
