Confusingly, the Subject of the linked discussion is incorrect: The Income and Expense by Category report DOES include covered shorts.

Much later in the discussion, the original poster (apparently unwittingly) corrects the Subject error by noting (correctly) the it is the "drilldown" from the _RlzdGain amount in the Income and Expense by Category that fails to include Covered Short "transactions".

If true, the discussion Subject would describe a serious bug; the actual problem is a much less significant bug.

And that bug was introduced sometime after Q2020 R27.28 (as demonstrated by SuperUser Tom Young's posts in the discussion) and that bug is still present in Q2020 R30.14.
