Issue Printing Register Report for Today's date - Deposits only

I wouldn't classify the original poster's situation as an "issue"; Quicken is working as intended.

A "Deposit" in Quicken reports is any transaction amount that would increase the balance of an asset account (such as a checking account): it does not matter whether the amount is the only amount of a non-split transaction, or the amount of just one line in a split transaction (and that's true even if the net-amount of the split transaction reduces the balance of the asset account).

When you elect to show only "Deposit" transaction types in Quicken reports, Quicken intentionally does not look at the contents of the transaction "Num" field; Quicken only employs the logic in the previous paragraph.

[And, unfortunately, Quicken does not provide a Report Customize option to select transactions based on the contents of the "Num" field. Nor to sort or subtotal on the "Num" field.]

To see a Quicken report containing only non-investment transactions that have a particular value in their "Num" field, open the register that contains those transactions (or open the All Transactions register, if you want to include transactions from multiple accounts in the report).

With the appropriate register open:

- Sort on the "Num" field (click on the Heading text)

- Scroll to the section of the register that contains the transactions with the desired text in their "Num" field

- Select the transactions for the report as you would select multiple files in Windows Explorer

- Right-click a selected transaction

- Choose "Edit transaction(s)"

- In the resulting "Find and Replace" dialog, click the small printer icon in the lower left

- Modify any resulting Print settings as desired, then click "Print"

[Another approach would be to create a Quicken report containing all the desired transactions plus any undesired transactions that can't be eliminated by the Quicken report Customize dialog, export that report to Excel, then complete the selection and reporting process in Excel.]
