Copy loan info from backup into existing file? Quicken 2003

I am using quicken 2003. Somehow I managed to delete a loan from the file. However, I have a backup of 2 months ago before I inadvertently deleted the loan. Is there any way to bring that info back into the current file. I realize one option is to use the old file and re-enter the two months data. I'm hoping there is simpler method.

thanks

I assume you are referring to the Payment Schedule (as opposed to the liablity account); if so, the answer is no, you can not recover that from another file. You either have to recreate it in your current file, or revert to the older file and bring that older file up-to-date.

How long ago did you accidentally delete the loan? If it was fairly recently, you may be able to salvage most of the data and the loan information by restoring one of the automatic backups made by Quicken. Check in the backup directory where your datafile currently resides.
