Corporate name change

Where are you seeing "Action"?

In the Register for the Investment Account where you hold MEMC, click "Enter Transactions". And then scroll down.

I haven't used Quicken 2011 in a couple of years but, IIRC, this hasn't changed in several years.

Using Quicken 2011 Deluxe I am trying to change the name MEMC Electronic Material (MEMC) to SunEdison Inc (SUNE). However, when I go to the drop down menu in Action, I do not see Corporate Name Change. How do I make this change? Thank you. Caryl

Thanks, RC, that was certainly easy. I was trying to enter the transaction directly onto the register. The second column is date and the next one is A ction. Corporate Name Change is not in the drop down list there and I compl etely forgot to instead click "Enter Transactions." Thanks again. Caryl

Can't one also do this via INVESTING drop down, to SECURITY LIST, locate the security in the list, EDIT it, and change the name there rather than in the register? Probably does the same thing, but a little easier from a user interface point of view.

Yes, that would work too, but it does not put a reminder about the name cha nge in the register. I like having this reminder to refresh my memory, espe cially after several years. (It does not matter, but I see that I wrote the wrong symbol for MEMC Electronic Material in my original question. It is n ot MEMC but WFR.)
