Cost of TurboTax Deluxe with State 2007

Would the cheapest place to buy TurboTax Deluxe with State 2007 be at Costco? ($36.99 - $15 Costco discount coupon = $21.99)

That's the way I got mine a few days ago. I can't swear it's the

*absolute* lowest price anywhere, but it's hard to imagine that it could be substantially less than that elsewhere.

If it turns out that I paid a dollar or two more than I had to, I won't lose a lot of sleep over it.

I bought mine from Amazon via the download option. It was $37.99 and it downloaded and installed with no glitches.

If you are a State Farm customer, you can use TurboTax online for FREE. In addition, you can also download TurboTax Deluxe Federal and State for FREE as well.

Log on to State Farm's website. Then click on the "FREE tax filing" link on the left side of the screen to be ported over to the Intuit website. Once there, you will see the offers for free/discounted TurboTax Online. If you click on "Downloads" at the top of the screen, you will see the offers for free/discounted TurboTax software downloads.

Note: There are no e-filing fees if you use the online version, but you will have to pay them if you use the downloaded version.

Thanks for the State Farm tip......it does work as J Callahan says. Just a bit of additional info, the download occurs on the Intuit website, and you have to create a TurboTax account before you can access the download. I've successfully tranfered last years data from TaxCut, but I have not of course completed my return to say that there aren't any gotchas at the end....like not printing.

So looks good so far. If any other posters have completed a return with the free download, sure would like to hear.

Thanks again J Callahan, and Cheers! Jim
