TurboTax 2022 Pricing (2023 Update)

Brace yourself - Looks like Intuit has substantially raised the price of PC/Mac TurboTax this year. On Amazon, Deluxe Fed/State is $69. Last year it was $49.

Haven't looked at online pricing, it's possible they are still trying to force^h^h^h^h^h encourage everyone to migrate.

Perhaps. It's not like there are material or transportation cost increases to deal with, especially for a software download. A 40% increase is a bit over the top.

Will see what H&R Block offers later this year. Costco usually has better CDROM pricing as well. Amazon download pricing this early tends to be list price.

I used Taxact for years until the price took a big jump. Switched to H&R Block two years ago. Heck, Quicken went up again. Too old to change now !

I use H&R Block and got an email with the following offer: H&R Tax 2022 direct from their site Deluxe + state: $54.95 - $15 = $39.95

Last year I bought H&R Block Deluxe without the state for $17.95 during's Amazon's Black Friday deals.

I get TurboTax Premier every year for free from Fidelity. They make it easy to get Online but you have to hunt to get Desktop.

They are showing a release date of November 2, so perhaps they will offer less than list pricing then.

Amazon has lowered the Deluxe download and disc pricing to $55 - up $5 from last year. Sams Club has it for this as well. Surprisingly Costco.com isn't showing it at any price. Haven't looked in the store yet.

They are showing TT Premier at 82.99 right now. Last year they had TT Premier 2021 at about 55.00 on December 29. I picked it up a bit to early on Nov for 69.99. Will wait and see how the pricing goes before I buy. Newegg is showing the same prices as Amazon. Also watching H&R Block 2022 Deluxe pricing

Just a FYI note. I do believe that the TT Premier was priced at about 90.00. The new version is listed at 105.00. Current discounted price is 82.99 (Amazon). It will be interesting on how low it will go.

And it looks like costco.com now has TurboTax listed as well. Same pricing as Amazon ($55.99 for Deluxe Fed/State), but Costco includes a $10 credit that presumably can be applied towards the state efile fee.

The formerly free TT Premier Desktop now costs $5.00 from Fido.

Log in to Fido and go to the Beta view of your portfolio page. Scroll down and see the Get TurboTax® Premier free box. Click on that and land on a TT page. In the upper left, hover over Do It Yourself and click on Doing Your Taxes with a CD/Download. Then you'll get the $5 offer for Premier Desktop.

Did this go away with the New Year? Fidelity seems now to only offer up to $20 off of Turbotax.

Before I switched to the Beta home page, the offer to use Turbotax premier was not there now. It was in Dec. When I checked with the FIDO rep, they indicated that it was no longer available for high net worth people who do not have a managed account with Fidelity. Strange since never advised of this.

Now when I go to the Beta version of the home page, the Turbotax offer is there!! I started to use it.
