When I click on Download Transaction, I go to my banks website. When I download the transactions from bank website nothing happens, I have to save the file and impport it. I thought it was a one step operation?

I think you would normally have to "approve" the downloaded transactions. Go to the account you have downloaded transactions for and at the bottom of the screen click the "Download Transactions" tab and see if you have anything pending.
You can approve them all or one at a time. This gives you the opportunity to weed out duplicates and do other mapping as needed.
