Express Web Connect VISA Credit Union account register does not show DOWNLOAD TRANSACTIONS field at bottom of the register

At the bottom of the register, on other credit card accounts (like MACYS), there's a line indicating DOWNLOADED TRANSACTIONS (0) BILL AND INCOME REMINDERS (0) but NOT in the newly added Credit Union register.

Everything in the ACCOUNTS List looks ok, account is enabled for downloaded transactions. It's "Setup for transaction download". I've tried to 'RESET' this account, and then disconnected and reconnected ALL of the CU accounts, but still can't get past this issue.

I is this a register setting I just don't see? I am also having some issues downloading some, but not all, of the transactions that have cleared my account. When d/l transaction occur, there's a GREEN (or is it RED) dot next to the account, not the usual checkmark. Hovering over that tells me there are transaction to accept.

Strange.

That can happen when the Quicken Preference to "Automatically add [downloaded transactions] to banking registers" has been set on.

There is a file-level auto-add Preference (found at Edit > Preferences > Downloaded transactions); and an auto-add Preference for each account (found on the Online Services tab of the Edit Account Details for the account - it's a blue link beginning with the text "Automatic entry ....".). The account-level Preference can override the file-level Preference for that account - by default, it is set to stay in agreement with the file-level Preference.

When transactions have been auto-added to an account, you can still control their final acceptance; you just do it in the register (or in the Transaction List for investment accounts). To deal with the auto-add situation, you should have the "Status" column displayed in the register. That column will have an icon that tells you the status of the transaction and allows you to alter the way the transaction is currently being treated. For example: you can "match" an auto-added transaction to another transaction in the register (if the amounts are exactly equal). In the Quicken menu row, click Quicken > Quicken Help. Click the Search icon in the Help Toolbar, key "status" in the search field and press Enter to see pertinent Help about the "Status" column.

Many people do not like auto-add, but it is not nearly as bad as it might seem at first.

John, thank you SO much for this.....bingo! That's exactly correct. And the comment I had made about some download issues is that it did auto download some restaurant charges that had the tips included that I didn't see which caused me that hassle. All is now well.

Again, thanks for the individual account setting in the Online Services tab. I probably would never have seen that.
