web express vs direct connect

running Quicken 2006 - and use Direct Connect for all of my accounts, except one at Chase - they want $9.95/mo for that "service". I ue the Web Connect for that account, but they also mention (along with Direct Connect) something called Web Express ??

What's the difference between Web Express vs Direct Connect ?

If it's a Chase credit card, you should be able to use Direct Connect. If it's something else, Express Web Connect, if available, should be offered to you each time you download via Web Connect. If not, try enabling EWC the same way you do for Direct Connect.

I think, it's bank account that qualifies you for Direct Connect with Chase. Just a credit card account allows Web Connect and Web Express.

Problem with that theory is that I've got a Southwest Airlines Visa, issued by Chase, that's Direct Connect. And that's my only account at Chase or JPMC.

OK. I only have Chase Freedom card, and it's Web Connect/Web Express and no Direct Connect. Bummer. Maybe it's regional then?

Go to Customer Center, then Activate Money, Quicken, etc. That should allow you to use Direct Connect with your Chase Freedom. Bob

I suspect that rather than being regional pricing (I live in Tennessee), it's the fact that I pay $59 per year for the SWA Visa.

It should also be noted, however, that last year I earned 10 free tickets on Southwest by using that $59 card ... and I'll take trades like that anytime.
