web connect vs direct connect indicator

Is there any way to tell in Quicken 2004 if a bank/institution has direct connect avail vs the web connect ?

It seems like my brokerage (Schwab, Trowe, Fidelity) has the direct and my bank (Chase and Vanguard) has web, but I can't see any indicator in the quicken account setup other than "online activated".

Yes, the Participating Financial Institutions list.

This sounds like a different question. If you want to know which of your accounts has been setup for download via each method, you can check the list of accounts in One Step Update: those accounts have been Activated for download via direct connect; any other Activated accounts use web-connect.

thanks - just went and browsed the list in Quicken and noticed that Vanguard was listed as having both - Direct & Web - Didn't think they had "direct" - but just un-activated & re-activated to force the new direct connection...

yeah - but I wish the Account Edit info would show that - vs just showing Online Access -> Activated

Chase has very good direct connect for both credit cards and bank accounts. I have experienced no problems whatsoever.
