W hen switching between files (not accounts) Quicken often gets hung up after briefly flashing "refreshing Quicken data", and I have to force a shutdown . What Release of Q2015 are you running? And have you tried Validating your data file?

R8 (24.1.8.1). Yes, I tried validating. Problem occurs in both directions, switching between File A to File B or B to A. It's intermittent; it doesn't seem to be correlated to what other programs are open in Windows... It may be related to the fact that file "B" is exclusively maintained via updatin g (it is all portfolios and I do not manually enter or edit transactions 99 % of the time), so often I open "B" to update before switching to file "A". If there are no transactions downloaded from the update, then I am closing out "B" without going into any registers... Perhaps this lack of navigatio n is part of the problem. I'll pay more attention to when and how the probl em occurs and try to be more specific.
