How good is TurboTax for multi-state returns?

Anticipate owning properties in two states, both with state income tax. I've never faced this situation before. How useful is Turbotax in 'understanding' the relationship between two states when doing a return which I would think I now would need to perform in both states (New York and Massachusetts to be precise).

Anyone have dealings in this particular (or general) situation?

I've used TTax for multistate income in the past. It really treats each state separately - that is, flows down income attributed to each state from the federal, but doesn't attemp to coordinate between the states. I still had to plug in values to some of the state schedules manually.

Some of the east coast states have cross border tax agreements where the income from one state can be lumped into your home state. You probably have some reading to do.

Thank you Arthur. I got a chuckle about your comment "You probably have some reading to do." Damn right I do.
