whenever I reinstall on new pc I only get 20 uses of Australian Quicken Cashbook 2003 before the registration prompt locks me out as I dont have the original rego no. Quicken Australia does not exist anymore so no support. Reckon Australia wont help. I have tried the US solution of holding down left control + shift then click finance and one step update but doesnt work. Can I use ollydbug to edit the code to stop rego prompt or reset no. of uses to say 100 instead of 20? If so how to find the code line for registration prompt. I have been using Quicken forever, dont need any online use, its still so simple and brilliant for my needs!!!! Please help!!!!

Hi Jeff I'm David and this doesn’t help but I have exactly the same problem with my legal bought and paid for Quicken Cashbook 2003 and I do have all the product details and in the past you could contact Quicken on 1300 650 061 get a new registration code and the software was back up and running but now Reckon have stopped support and like you got zero help other than stiff buy a new Reckon account. Agree there has to be a piece of code that counts down from 20. I was told that if I went into C:\windows\quicken.ini there is a registration count line in mine it is 0 and I changed it to 1000 but it didn't make any difference but it may not have taken because you have to logged on as administrator. Somewhere out there there must be someone smarter than me that can "adjust" the code.
