Quicken 2006 for Mac. How do you get rid of the registration pop-up?

Hi All,

I know I'm digging into the mental archives here, but I still use Quicken

2006 for Mac. I just got a different Mac and I moved my Quicken 2006 application over to it. Everything runs fine, but that annoying Registration screen is constantly coming up.

I did research, but all I found were solutions for Quicken for Windows, which was to hold Ctrl + Shift down while clicking on 'Online > One Step Update'. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to work for the Mac, no matter how many times I try. And I would go ahead and register, again, if I could to make it go away, but I found an article on the Quicken site that (Article ID: 7474 - updated by Quicken on 11/16/09) which states that online registration is no longer supported and the workaround is for me to just keep clicking the 'Register Later' button. Not really the best workaround.

So I was hoping that maybe someone might know an equivalent solution for the Mac, like there was for Windows? Some sort of Ctrl + Shift for Mac? I hope so. Please. :) Ha, ha. Thanks!

The solution I have used is register. Quicken does not care. Quicken as far as I can tell does nothing with the registration data. If you are worried about security or Quicken "finding" you, use your neighbor's name, address, and email.

Gordon - I might be missing something deep, but did you see the OP's comment "...which states that online registration is no longer supported"....he CAN'T register!

The solution to this issue regarding Quicken for mac 2007 is as follows...

You have to go through the process of clicking the 'Register Later' button between 10 and 15 times and then the pop up will no longer appear.

Cheers.

I hope not! Just to clarify - the problem isn't that I don't want to register. The problem is that even though I have registered multiple times, the register/nag screen comes back every time.
