Quicken 2002 Registration

Long ago,I used Quicken and then went to MS Money.I'm planning to return to Quicken...2002 Deluxe,to be exact.

I've installed it onto an older PC with no internet connection. I recall that there was a trick to disabling the mandatory registration feature by manipulating the "registration count" line on the "quicken.ini" file...but I can't recall what I should digit I should insert.

Could somebody help me out?

Thanks!

Sorry, bad url. Don't know why. Here is an extract of the message I refer to, posted by the Forum Moderator at

"If you do not wish to use Quicken online, then let me explain how you can disable registration. With the Quicken program open, hold down the Ctrl + Shift keys on the keyboard, and go to the Online menu. From the Online menu choose One Step Update. After selecting One Step Update, with Ctrl + Shift still held down, you will receive a message that states, "You will no longer be prompted for registration." At this point registration is disabled and you will not receive any further messages regarding it. These instructions will work for Quicken 2003-2005. For Quicken 2001-2002 you will need to use the Finance menu instead of the Online menu. All other instructions are the same."
