How to handle money market fund merger?

Bank of America absorbed Fleet Bank, which had the Columbia in-house brand of mutual funds. Then BofA decided to rid themselves of their own scandal tainted Nations brand of funds by merging them into Columbia's.

The net result is that the money market fund in both of my investment accounts changed. How do you indicate this situation in Quicken?

Admittedly, this is a minor problem, and for now, all I've done is add the Columbia money market fund to the security list. But it got me wondering what I would do if one of my "real" mutual funds was absorbed/merged.

The most likely Action you need to enter is a Corporate Acquisition. It will transfer shares from an old investment to a new one, and preserve the cost base.
