Prior to crashing my computer, requiring a full XP Pro re-installation, I bought 2006 Home and Business. I had been using H&B 2000 and faithfully backed the data up onto another physical hard drive which was not affected by the crash and subsequent reinstallation of the operating system.
Normally I would install 2000 H&B get it running then upgrade to 2006 H&B, but I cannot find the original 2000 H&B disc.(without tearing the office apart)
Can I install 2006 H&B and then restore the backed up data files? Are the "backed up files" in a different format from the files that
2000/2006 normally sees as "working" files? How should I proceed? Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated. Frank
