Downgrading from Quicken H&B to Quicken Premier

Oct 18, 2008 3 Replies

I have been using Qucken 2008 H&B and don't need or like the extra stuff the program provides. I believe Quicken Premier is sufficient for my needs. I've managed to borrow a copy and want to know if there's anything tricky I must do to install it and use it.

Can Quicken 2008 H&B coexist on a computer with Quicken 2008 Premier? Can they use the same data files? Can 2008 Premier import the 2008 H&B data files?

No.

Yes.

It can't "import" them, but it will use them. I think you'll get a warning the first time Premier tries to open a file created by H&B, but there should be no problem.

You will lose all the business features. And business accounts will be come non-business accounts.

In Canada, you only have TWO choices of Quicken: the one will all the bells and whistles or the bare bones one. (90 bucks or 35 bucks). Nothing in between. What a pile of bullshit, I say.
