Is Quicken password protection good?

I know Intuit can recover the data if your password is lost and I believe that there are published "cracks" on the internet. I simply use it to give me a chance to confirm/verify which file I am opening and to prevent prying eyes from looking at my data. I don't believe the password is strong enough to prevent a determined person from opening the file. For that physical security is important.

I also use a program called Crytainer. It encrypts on the fly, is easy to use and has both free and pay versions. Uses a password.

Thanks for all these good information. I have been using Quicken over 10 years, all my financial data is in Quicken (everything). It is very important to protect these files not to let others to break in if these files are on some one's hand.

Also, Winzip 9 has a strong password capability, in addition to the relatively weak PKZip password capability.
