"Make Credit Card Payment" screen after reconcile

Using Quicken 2005 Premier. After reconciling a credit card account, I recieved the "Make Credit Card Payment" screen. I accidentally checked off "Don't show me this screen again". How do I turn it back on? I need it back because I make payments manually by check, and need to have the payment amount automatically deducted from my checking account, which it is no longer doing.

You don't.

You don't need the "Make Credit Card Payment" feature to have your manual check deduct the amount from your checking account. When you write a check in Quicken, the amount is automatically "withdrawn" from your Quicken checking account ... I think what you really want is to have that same amount deposited in your Quicken credit card account. You do that by entering the credit card account in square brackets in the category field of the check, as in: [My Checking Account]. You can also select that category from the bottom of your drop down category list in the check transaction.

In any event, the Make Credit Card Payment feature is not required to correctly account for a credit card payment.

Thanks for the reply. The thing is, when I used to reconcile my credit card account, it used to make the debit transaction into the checking account automatically (this still works when I reconcile my other credit card accounts). Now, I have to enter the debit transaction for the payment manually. I'd like it to go back to the automatic process, which I believe was done through the screen I mentioned earlier.

That should have read, "..., as in: [My Credit Card Account]".

Yes, I know it was handled for you with the Make Credit Card Payment dialog; that's gone now ... not coming back.

It was just that you made it seem that you could not, or did not know how to, do it manually - which you are now going to have to do.

Thanks. Yes, I know how to do it manually. I just can't believe you can't undo a "configuration" change. Seems to be a bit of an oversite on the part of the Quicken developers. I guess I can always blow away the credit card account and create a new one from scratch.
