In Q2006-can I move an account from property & debt to cash flow? I have a line of credit in P&D and want to move it to cash so I can download transactions from my bank instead of doing it manually. When I try to download from my bank, its looking for an account in cash flow-when it doesn't find one it asks me to make a new account. How can I move it?
Just moving the account does not change what type of account it is and what Quicken can do with the account. Investigate whether you can creat a new account in the cash-flow section and cut/paste the transactions between the two accounts. You can select all transactions the same way you select multiple objects in Windows with Shift-Click.
