I didn't know others were having this problem. I have tried everything I can think of but Yacktman fund (YACKX) will not update nor show a price on any kind on Portfolio, just a market value of "0". The Gain/Loss then becomes the negative of the cost basis. "Security Detail View" shows purchase and dividends but no price history. Sure plays hell with the profit. I would appreciate any suggestions. The account is with Fidelity. Thanks

The answer is in a discussion here from just a few days ago, titled "Can't update prices for 3 stocks".
Yeah I know, Canadian stocks. Thanks anyway.

You may have misunderstood.
If you have the same problem discussed earlier, it shouldn't matter whether the securities are Canadian or not.
I believe the workaround to get rid of the corrupted prices should work for the Canadian version of Quicken.
And there is no workaround for the cause of the problem (U.S. or Canadian) ... which is bad data sent from the source of the prices. Until the source stops sending bad data, the problem will repeat. [Though Intuit has tried to prevent the corruption in the newest versions of Quicken U.S., I do not believe they have succeeded.]
So you should be able to:
1.) Use the reported "fix" to get rid of the corrupted prices from your Quicken file. At that point you can manually add prices or import prices from some other source besides Quicken's price servers.2.) Stop downloading prices for the problem security in your regular Quicken file. Use some other source of prices for that security (Yahoo, Netstock, your broker, etc.).
3.) Create a New (test) Quicken file. Setup the problem security in the Watch List in that new test file and treat that as the canary-in-the-mine. Download prices to the new test file (clearing the corruption each time), until you no longer get corrupted prices ... then resume downloading prices in your regular Quicken file."John Pollard" wrote

Sorry, I misinterpreted your reply.
But the basics of my last response to you remain: the workaround posted in the earlier discussion should be equally applicable to U.S. or Canadian securities.
[The underlying problem has nothing to do with the country of the securities, and should not have anything to do with the country version of Quicken.]
John, as I recently mentioned, your stated fix re temporarily using a false stock ticker symbol, deleting the prices, then re-inserting the proper ticker symbol, then downloading prices from the usual source works. If the problem repeats, I'll unflag those problem stocks from Quicken download and obtain them from other sources. Thanks again for your help!
