Online Transfer Glitch

Quicken 2006 R4 On XP SP2.

I have an online transfer problem I cannot figure out. I have 4 scheduled monthly online bank transfers that distribute monies from the primary account to 4 other accounts. I select the "Online Transfer" option in the number dropbox when I activate the transaction and it shows OXFR. Even though the box shows OXFR and after pressing "Record Payment", in the primary account it reverts back to TXFR and will not send the transaction when updating online. I have to manually set them back to OXFR to get them to send. When this first was setup, 3 of the 4 were doing this while one was working. I thought I would delete all scheduled events and start over. I managed to get them all consistent, now all of them don't work. Go figure. Before I deleted them, I screen captured the settings of the one that worked -vs- the ones that didn't looking for some sort of subtle differences, but there were none.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Monte

Is that even at all possible? My understanding (indeed my enhancement request years ago) was to implement the ability to schedule online transfers. Quicken, up to 2005, has not had the ability to do this. My workaround was to schedule payments via online *checks* (note checks not online transfers) to pay to the banks deposit address. Still many banks screw that up and it's practically impossible to pay my overdraft that way since the checking account and it's associated overdraft account share account numbers. In fact, the stupid bank would take a check drawn on account #123 and make it a deposit into account #123!

Exactly where is this Online Transfer option in which drop [down] box of what "schedule a transaction" screen, I'm curious? Because in Quicken

2005 there is the *Create a Schedule Transaction* dialog box that has a *Transaction method* but the only options under there are /Payment/, /Online Payment from Quicken/, /Printed Check/, /Deposit/ and /Transfer/ and /Transfer/ does not indicate at all that it is online (and if fact it isn't - it's just the plain old TXFR style of transfer).

Right, TXFRs are not online transfer and thus will not transmit when you go online. OXFRs are online transfers but you can't schedule those (but you can workaround it in a klunky way as described above).

I'd be surprised if any really worked.

Gonna keep that screen capture secret?

Agreed, and I requested as much some 6 or 7 years ago. Still that hasn't been added.

But still I question: What did you mean when you said "When this first was setup, 3 of the 4 were doing this while one was working". How did you get any to work?!?

I thought maybe some options were missing in my Transaction method that should be there. You pretty much confirmed that it isn't there at all. Quicken should let you add those in or make them available. Agreed, and I requested as much some 6 or 7 years ago. Still that hasn't been added.
