Ordering of reports

Dumb question [I think] time: is there a way to order/group reports? I have a lot of reports for specific reasons and it seems that Quicken insists on alphabetizing the report. Or as a workaround can I make the "title" of the report be different than its "report" name? So then I could have a bunch of aa - this and aa- that reports but have them print out with the ugly "aa-".

I'm assuming you are talking about "saved" reports.

You have a significant amount of control over the grouping and order of saved reports. But saved reports are always going to be listed in alphabetical order - by report Title.

When you generate any report - whether you save it or not - you can control its Title. Quicken will assign each newly created report its Quicken default Title, but you can change that Quicken-assigned Title. With the report open, click the Customize button; then, on the Display tab, key the name you want for the report in the "Title" box. That name will appear in the Title of the report when it is displayed or printed, and it will become the name of the saved report (should you save it).

You can create multiple folders for saved reports: Report > Reports & Graphs Center > Manage Saved Reports > Create folder When you Save a report, you can select which Saved Report Folder you want it saved in. [The default Quicken saved reports folder name is, "My Saved Reports".

You can Move existing Saved reports from one saved reports folder to another: Report > Reports & Graphs Center > Manage Saved Reports

- Select the report to move

- Click the "Move to folder" button, and select the Saved Reports Folder you want the save report moved to

At the end of the day, the saved reports - in each saved reports folder - will be sorted by title; but you have control over the saved report Title and the name of saved report folder where it is saved.

yup..

That's the trick I missed. Completely solves my problem -- within each folder there'll be just a few reports and so I won't care that much about their being alphabetical. Perfect . thanks
