I recently purchased a new computer and, used the backup disc to restore the records and everything is working well. I'm having a problem when I try to update the records on the old computer. The system won't permit the update. I run Q2005 on both machines. Any suggestions to fix this?

I assume you want to sync the files between the two computers. Do you have the two computers in a LAN? If so, Google Syncback and try the freebie program. It allows you to sync/backup across the LAN.
I use it all the time to keep my bookmarks, Quicken files, etc. sync'd between 3 PC's I have on my LAN. A great freeware program. So good, I bought the pay version (Syncback SE) just to support the author.
