Q2004 investment setup question (insurance sub-accounts)

QUICKEN 2004: I have a variable universal life insurance investment where the available funds in the investment are insurance sub-accounts within the life insurance policy. The available funds do not have ticker symbols. Four of the sub-accounts have UNITS and UNIT VALUE in their transactions so I can manually enter the transactions. However, one of the sub-accounts, (titled FIXED ACCOUNT) does not use units. It has a fixed interest rate...it is not cash but a "fixed" rate sub-account. How would I setup the FIXED ACCOUNT in this portfolio and enter transactions for it when there are no units, just a total dollar figure for each transaction? I tried creating the FIXED ACCOUNT as a TYPE OTHER and entering one share at the total dollar value for each transaction. While this partially works (the total portfolio value is correct), the summary tab does not show the correct cost basis for the FIXED ACCOUNT sub-account and only the first LOT is listed under it. The other four sub-accounts show the correct cost basis and all of the lots are listed under each. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong with the FIXED ACCOUNT?

Thanks, Marc
