Q2006 Premier and Windows XP Home

Just set up several XP user accounts with myself as the only Administrator. When I put the Quicken data files in the Shared Documents folder, the other users on the computer get a message that they do not have adequate privileges to open the files. Without changing to XP Pro, is there any way to do this without giving other users Administrator rights?

Thanks.....Bob

The only way I know of to make it work is to uninstall Quicken, then to give each user you want to run Quicken Admin authority and then to install Quicken with each and every userid. For safety's sake, I think you might also do a backup from each userid.

Then after that you can reset the userids to limited authority and it should work.
