Q2006W up and running

I knew you could move the accounts bar to either side of the screen. I use the accounts bar, so I wasn't aware you could hide it entirely. In their review of what's new in Q2006 brings up this very subject. So I assumed the "hide" part was new. What's really new, as I said in my original post, is that you can press F11 and have your register expand to fill the entire Quioken window. This does produce a little tab at the top of the window that can restore the window, or you can toggle F11 to restore it.

And you're right, QP2006 uninstalls QP2005. I do have a Ghost image that has QP2005 still installed, but really, do I want to go to all that trouble to verify something so trivial? I'll take your word for it.

Margaret

I can verify what he says. Just did it..... No bad. I never thought of the accounts bar as bad. Actually, I like it.....

Does anyone know if Quicken 2006 will let you change the size and style of fonts as you were able to do up until Q2005. Called Quicken tech support and they finally admitted that you couldn't beacause of implementing Check 21 check printing.

Several features in Q'06 look very good, but if reports can't be printed with different size and style fonts, then an upgrade for me anyway is pointless; losing the qif import feature I didn't like much, but was able to work around that alright, downloading transactions from my bank only led to more transaction editing, so I've went with manually doing it once instead of twice.

Check 21 has nothing to do with printing reports, it has to do with printing checks.

Intuit shipped a partial relaxation on the font setting as an upgrade in the R4 upgrade to Quicken 2005 and it is also in Q2006. Some of the text on the check can now be printed with a custom font.

Reports have never lost the ability to customize fonts.
