-> Q2008: Remove the tab in transactions???

Hi,

Just switched from Quicken 2006 to Quicken 2008 and noticed that when I enter a transaction, there is an ugly tab with the "split", "attach", "enter" buttons...

Problem is that when I manually reconcile my accounts, moving one transaction down to the next one, this stupid tab overlaps on the financial information of the next or previous transaction.

I found a way, in the preferences, to disable this tab so the look and feel is back to normal, BUT the problem is that then I lose those useful buttons.

In Quicken 2006 they were contained in the transaction lines themselves without overlapping other transactions.

Any way to get this behavior back?

Thanks for any help

Sincerely, Steve JORDI

Right click menu has it all.

Do you by any chance have the View selection at One-line Display? Geo.

No I have each transaction on two lines. But look by yourself. Click in a transaction in the middle of the register. Doesn't the tab hide the amount of the transaction just below? It does...

I have hidden that tab and finally use the right-click contect menu. Even though I think it's less convenient...
