Quicken 2010 Install Problems

Dec 28, 2010 2 Replies

Using Quicken 2010 Premier R10. When I try to download data from TIAA/ CREF using Web connect I get a pop-up window that says "Please Wait while Windows configures Quicken 2010" Then a dialog box comes up with he following Quicken 2010 - The feature you are trying to use is on CD-ROM or other removeable disk that is not available. Insert the 'Quicken 2010 disk and click ok.

Here's the problem. Windows is looking for a file named Quicken

2010.msi but the only file I have is a download from Amazon.com named Q2010PRM.exe - size 98319 kb.

I thought Web connect was installed by default. Is this a Quicken Problem or a TIAA/CREF problem? I'm stuck because I don't have the msi file, just the exe file from Amazon. Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated.

I did a re-install of Quicken using the Q2010PRM.exe file and that seems to have fixed the problem.

Just curious - Q2010PRM or was it Q2010RPM? (transposed two letters)....
