I can't remember how this works. When a new update is available for Quicken, does it immediately offer it, or does it wait until the next time you start Quicken?

Hi, Ken.
It doesn't always work the same way for me, but usually an update appears at my next One Step Update. And I think it would appear with my next OSU, even if I haven't restarted Quicken. But it doesn't seem to be completely predictable; sometimes I hear about the update here in this NG days before it appears with my OSU.

Thanks, RC. I was afraid of such an answer.
The reason I asked is that I normally never shut down Quicken, so I very seldom start it. I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any updates, but worst case, I guess I would hear about them here.
I would guess it's part of some internal "update" for the Financial Institutions info and other "notices" that may work on either a (daily, weekly, monthly) timeline or the number of times Q is started.... like the Backup scheduler.
