Is it hard to find a financial advisor/accountant who also knows Quicken extremely well and who will help clients take full advantage of Quicken's many features, as well as provide some financial advice?
I used a fee-only financial advisor once but he really didn't do much for me. He confirmed my investment ideas (index, long-term) and compiled a report of my information, most of which I really already possessed.
I want a retirement plan and a budget that will help define spending limits. (But I don't break out the items on my credit card statements into categories....) Another problem is that I use Quickbooks for my small business so I keep a mock business account in Quicken which reflects my business account balance, using my infamous "adjustment" account... I'd like to somehow import that info into Quicken... maybe. And I get involved in some odd investments, like foreign currency CDs and currency trading.
I want to use Quicken for more than a checkbook register and a place to monitor my account balances. I'd like to find an advisor who can take a look at how I've been using Quicken for the past few years, tell me how I need to correct all of my past entry errors, and generally get my file fixed up. And someone who good at giving financial advice is great as well. I guess I need a Quicken coach to send my file to, and carry on online with their service. Am I dreaming?
Thanks,
