It's not very good. Why, are you a promoter/spammer?

It looks nice. However what immediately struck me was how do I use it to get my total financial picture? It seems to focus on simply reporting and how to "save money" (read: we want to sell you credit card services). Where do I, for example, pay bills from? How do I set up a paycheck? How do I keep track of my mortgage or other account if the participating financial institution doesn't have a web site or who's web site is non-standard, etc.

If your financial needs are simply, then perhaps mint is for you. Then again you probably could get away with a simple checkbook or spreadsheet too...

That's REALLY SCARY! You'd be giving an online source all the information to download all your financial institution transactions, I sure as heck wouldn't do it....

Yeah I know...

But one thing I fund tedious abt using Quicken was feting into daily habit of entering in all expenses so that I cant get a real time snapshot of my financial position

With MINT it appears as its all automated

So's Quicken.

I download all my stuff frequently so I have a record of all my spending. I never make manual entries although I do have to sometimes add details to the downloaded information, for example if I take money from the ATM I might enter a memo if the cash was for a special purpose, usually I don't, I leave it as Misc. If I have an entry for gasoline, AmEx tells me cost and location, I'll add which car I filled up to the memo field.

That's about the only manual stuff I ever need to do....
