Quickfill blocks fields on 2-line register display

Anyone noticed this? Extremely annoying. I start to type a payee, e.g. "ABC Plumbing" and once I type the "A" a quickfill box of possible payees pops, obscuring me from seeing what I'm typing. This started happening about 6 m onths ago with one of the updates. A clumsy workaround involves keeping the "downloaded transactions/bill & income reminders" tab open at the bottom.

Go to Edit>Prefferences>Register and uncheck "automatic open drop-down lists in QuickFill fiekds" under Date entry and Quickfil. At least, that's where it is in my version-2012 R. Wink.

That will prevent the Subject problem for the other QuickFill fields, but not the payee: for some reason, the payee drop down does not obey the Preference.

The most reliable way to prevent the problem for all register drop down fields is to make sure the bottom of the account register is far enough above the Windows task bar to provide enough room for the drop down list. You can do that by moving the bottom of the Quicken window up, or by using pop-up registers, and moving the bottom of the pop-up register up.
