I've just run across some weird behavior when transferring to a split transaction from an investment account in QW04.
I entered a proposed SoldX (sell and transfer) transaction in my IRA investment account with the transfer to my bank checking account. Since I couldn't do a split in the originating (investment) account, I did the split in the destination account to show the fed & state withholding.
I later attempted to change the amount of the IRA distribution in the investment transaction window, but Quicken complained that the "originating" account was the one with the split.
Hmmm, I thought that the investment account _was_ the originating account. Nevertheless, I go to the split window in my checking account and make the change. So far, so good.
But then I go back to check the new distribution value in the investment account and it is some other unrelated number. Bringing up the edit transaction window shows a still different total sale number and a large value for the commission (which should be zero).
If I then correct the values in the edit transaction window, all is ok as far as I can tell, but it leads me to wonder about the integrity of the data.
Furthermore, even if I don't make any change in the distribution value (it is correctly entered in the investment transaction register), every time I bring up the edit transaction window (SoldX) the commission has a wild number entered and the total sale value is way off. If I then zero the commission value and click on the total sale, the correct value then reappears. At this point I cancel the edit transaction window and scratch my head....?
I do regular online one-step updates, so my version should include all bug fixes. What gives here?
