Register memos randomly not appearing in reports

In Q2000 on a mac, for a couple of mutual fund registers I'm noticing that an entry into the memo field does not always show up in a report even though the report includes a memo column. The problem seems to be somewhat random in that other memos in other mutual fund registers do show up in the report. I can't figure the cause and effect at play here, is this a known bug or is there something simple that I'm doing wrong?

With the extensive experience I've had generating reports I can say I've never seen a register memo entry from any other type of register (than mutual fund) go missing in a report. I really need to sort this out.

Thanks for any input.

Upon further review I'm noticing it's only sell transactions in the mutual funds for which the memo entry does not appear in the report. The memos for buy transactions in the same mutual fund register appear in the report just fine. At first I thought there might be some "rule" regarding memo entries in reports for sell transactions (although what that rule might be is beyond me). Then I tried temporarily switching the sell transactions in question to buy transactions. This did indeed cause the memo entries in the register to appear in the report. I then switched the buys back to sells and the memo entries remained in the report.

"Quirken" strikes again.

Make a note.

I'd still be interested to know if anybody else has seen this type of behavior and what the cause might be.
