Restore Quicken 4 file to Quicken H & B 2007?

Hello,

Does anyone here know if it's possible to restore a Quicken 4 backup file to Quicken Home & Business 2007?

The PC where Quicken 4 currently resides is on its way out and I have Quicken Home & Business 2007, which I have held off installing because I don't really need all of its bells and whistles. I mostly use Quicken to print checks.

I used to try to upgrade every few years, but as the saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". It seems that with every upgrade things that you knew how to do get buried under some of the so-called new features. I suppose that they have to justify the new release somehow.

A while back, there was an upgrade path on Intuit's website. However, when I looked there recently, it appears that they have revamped their website and I could no longer find it.

BTW, on a similar note, I've noticed that I can restore a Quicken 4 file over a network, but am only allowed to back up the file to either the hard drive or a floppy. Does anyone know which version allowed you to back up the file to a network drive? Quicken 5, perhaps?

Thanks in advance to those who post a reply to the group.

Peter.

I think you will need at least one free intermediate ("trial") version of Quicken to make your conversion.

I also think you can get free tech support for such conversions (as long as the end product is still supported, which Q2007 should be until April next year.
