Quicken 2010 H&B (Install Premier ONLY?)

My wife bought the 2010 Home and Business instead of the Premier I wanted.

Is there any way to get the H&B CD to install ONLY the Premier?

edit a setup file etc..

(I want to lose all the extra business stuff)

Good luck, I asked this same question a couple of years back and never got an answer.....

There's a 60 day money-back guarantee, so you could just return the H&B and get Premier

Intuit answered this a couple of years ago: No.

As Bob Wang said; there's a 60 day money back guarantee, so you can trade down.

[Also, the newer Quicken versions make it easier to hide the things you don't need: I'm betting that Q2010 is no exception. You should be able to remove the business tab, the business menu, the business reports, and all the business categories except "Not Sure, Biz". See the Setup tab.]

I know, I do not believe them. I think the CDs contain all versions and each can be unlocked or at least previous versions did.

What's required is to copy the CD to disk, find what determines which version and then hack it and burn a new CD or install from disk. I really don't have time or energy to fool with it but I'm sure someone must have, not necessarily to downgrade as the OP and I want to do, but I'll bet there is a hacker somewhere who wants to upgrade and has done so?

What's a "CD"?

Oh, I agree; I don't think Intuit has ever denied that. But there is no legal way that you can downgrade from the CD you bought. I think you can legally upgrade without returning the original purchase, but not downgrade.

This may be possible, but it's outside the scope, of my understanding, of the original question.
