Is there any way to transfer the transactions in a split (with multiple entries) from one account to a transaction in another account? Cut & Paste won't work, nor Import? I have a need to duplicate splits and I'd like to avoid typing everything twice.

Which version of Quicken?
In recent versions, you can use Move Transaction. Or you can Memorize the transaction, then just start to enter it in the other account and accept Quicken's offer to enter the memorized version. In either case, you may need to do some editing afterwards, but it should be easier than starting from scratch.
